- March 27, 2014 - TELFORD, U.K. --
In 1986 a chemical spill caused an environmental disaster in the river Rhine and companies all around the world began to realise the importance of environmental protection. With this premise, a young mechanical engineer, Helmut Dennig, developed his idea of the steel spill pallet (http://www.denios.co.uk/
ibcs.html) and founded DENIOS.
Today DENIOS is the European market leader for the protection and safety of the environment in industry, with a catalogue and online shop (http://www.denios.co.uk/
shop/) of more than 10,000 different products. But the original spill pallet is still as significant as ever in protecting the environment, so the construction and distribution of the 100,000th spill pallet is a significant milestone for DENIOS, indicating the success of the company as safety and environmental specialists.
The development of the spill pallet however has not stood still in the last three decades. For the storage of aggressive media such as acids and alkalis DENIOS manufactures spill pallets (http://www.denios.co.uk/shop/storing-and-handling-hazardo...
) made of high density polyethylene in its own plastic rotation mould. Spill pallets made of stainless steel (http://www.denios.co.uk/shop/storing-and-handling-hazardo...
) for the most demanding tasks are also in the program, as are mobile spill trays for safe internal transport of materials. The latest innovation is the worlds first deep drawn UltraSafe spill pallet which will be available to order from March 2014. Constructed from a single piece of steel without seams, corners or edges, this spill pallet offers the ultimate in safety when storing hazardous substances.
Our entire range of spill pallets is available to order in our online shop.
