CAMBRIDGE, U.K. - March 27, 2014 - PRLog -- Zinwave Ltd, a global provider of unique, future-proofed active distributed antenna systems (DAS) for in-building wireless coverage, has partnered with TwinCom Trading Corporation, a wireless communications company based in Manila, to support its expanding customer base in South East Asia. The partnership was finalized at the recently held Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The new relationship demonstrates Zinwaves’ recognition of the economic importance of the Philippines and further strengthens its position as a major vendor of in-building DAS technology in the region. Zinwave already has a number of strategic partnerships in place and is planning to further increase its footprint in South East Asia following its acquisition by McWane Inc.

Twincom Trading Corporation supplies telecommunication equipment and coverage solutions to mobile operators and vendors in the Philippines. The company has longstanding relationships with all major network providers and has leveraged from this experience to establish strong business links with many international telecommunications companies, including Globe Telecom and Smart Communications / PLDT Group, and Sun Cellular.

Twincom has partnered with Zinwave for a number of reasons including the flexibility, ease of deployment and future-proofing advantages of its in-building coverage system.  Zinwave’s in-building DAS is the only system capable of supporting multiple cellular and public safety services (including any variant of the new LTE services) on a single hardware layer. It supports any combination of services, between 150MHz and 2700MHz, regardless of protocol or modulation scheme.

Zinwave’s DAS is fibre-based, offering an “install-once” solution and eliminating the need for expensive and disruptive upgrades to existing infrastructures. Spare fibre can be incorporated into the initial communications framework so that new architectures, such as MIMO (multiple-input-multiple-output), can be supported on the same installation as they become available.

The system’s straightforward design (comprising just three components) and unique technology delivers building owners, telecom operators and neutral host providers the most flexible solution in the market place, with lowest total cost of ownership per installation.

Says Wilson Ngo of Twincom; “We are feeling positive about the Zinwave/Twincom partnership and believe it will generate fruitful business opportunities for both organisations. Zinwave’s unique DAS technology removes the challenges associated with legacy DAS installations systems and as a result we can offer our customers a flexible and simple solution while delivering optimal ROI.”

Says Colin Abrey, Chief Marketing Offier, Zinwave; “Our DAS technology has been deployed in a number of building-projects in South East Asia, including hospitals, airports and commercial centres.  We are the only company that can support legacy services (2G and 3G), emerging LTE technologies, public safety services and Wi-Fi/Wimax on a single hardware layer, which are important considerations for anyone responsible for in-building wireless coverage.”

Zinwave has recently secured its largest MIMO (multiple-input-multiple-output) contract to date spanning more than 100 floors.
