Follow on Google News | Santa Claus at Vintage Train Fest This SundayWe may finally be seeing the first stirrings of spring, but Santa Claus is never very far away. Sunday March 30th he pays a visit to Oneida, Tennessee to autograph his books.
Joe Moore as he is more officially known, has written and published the trilogy with the third having been released this year. He not only writes about Santa Claus and his village, but he spends the last two months of the year portraying Santa all over East Tennessee in his custom made suits. Moore is an expert in all things Santa Claus and does interviews as Santa discussing events in the North Pole, all things reindeer and elves and hot Christmas toys for kids. This new festival welcoming spring is a delightful way to spend a Sunday and the weather even promises to cooperate for Santa's arrival. The 2014 BSF Vintage Train Fest will be Sunday, March 30. The train will come from Chattanooga, Tenn. Riders will travel a 282-mile round trip along the N-S main line, which includes the famous "Rathole" division — the 300 ft. tall span across New River and numerous tunnels. At Oneida City Park, the Scott County Chamber of Commerce will host the festival that will include a vintage car cruise-in, live entertainment including bluegrass bands along with vendors including arts, crafts and food. Festival times are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The train is scheduled to arrive between 12 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. Passengers will be at the park for approximately two hours. Moore (or Santa Claus if you prefer) said The Santa Claus Trilogy consists of the following: Believe Again, The North Pole Chronicles begins the trilogy by showing how the elves and the North Pole came into being. It actually takes place from the late 18th century and proceeds through the generations and centuries until modern time. It shows how the elves chose Santa Claus and how the various legends came to exist. Faith, Hope & Reindeer is a present day snapshot of a week in the North Pole where several families that are struggling to do good have lost their faith and hope from the problems of their lives. They receive an all-expense paid vacation but they don't know their final destination. They end up in the North Pole where Santa and the village restore their faith and hope and they learn that miracles still exist. This book is currently being planned as a major motion picture scheduled for Christmas, 2015 The third book changes everything, says Moore, Santa's North pole is melting and he and all the residents of their North Pole Village have to find a new home and escape before the village crashes into the Arctic Ocean. He promises that Glaciers Melt & Mountains Smoke will change the Santa Claus legend for all time.
