The APSP honors were for its Midwest Chapter Design Awards, which are open to more than 100 chapter members in Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa. Swimming Pool Services has won Gold awards for more than 10 consecutive years in the APSP Midwest competition.
The 2013 APSP honors for Swimming Pool Services include two Gold awards and a Bronze award for three pool projects, all involving precise planning and careful craftsmanship. Swimming Pool Services also won a 2013 Gold APSP award as an “Outstanding Service Company.” The award is based on customer survey feedback for assistance with pool openings, pool closings, ongoing maintenance, hot tub service and commercial service.
“Once again, the credit for these awards goes to our outstanding group of pool and spa professionals,”
The APSP awards involved three very different pool projects, all which presented unique challenges:
• A Gold award in the category “Residential Vinyl Liner (600 Square Feet or More),” for a Hartland pool designed to complement an existing free-form patio, and featuring two curved benches and a natural stone waterfall flowing into the pool
• A second Gold award for “Residential Vinyl Liner (600 Square Feet or More),” for a Hartford pool project that included a year-round spa, a jump rock made of stone slabs that resembles a diving board, and an entertainment area with a gazebo and fire pit
• A Bronze award in the category “Residential Pool w/Auto Cover (Concrete, Vinyl Liner, Fiberglass & Steel),” for a Colgate pool built into an area of inclined grade, which included a graduated sun shelf with three water jets and eight water features elsewhere in the pool
