Tire Rack One Lap of America Makes Pit Stop at DEI Headquarters on May 8

AVON LAKE, Ohio - March 26, 2014 - PRLog -- /Design Engineering Inc. (DEI) one of the foremost leaders in automotive performance heat and control products, has announced they will be a hospitality sponsor for this year’s Tire Rack One Lap of America - anational motorsports event. DEI will host 75 to 90 race teams and their vehicles immediately following their competition racing at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course.

This event is open to the public free of charge and will provide a rare opportunity to see a large number of world class race cars and talk to the drivers (professional and amateur) about their experience before their last two rounds of competition.

Race teams will be arriving at DEI’s facility between 2 and 3 p.m. and spectators are invited to come earlier. Limited parking will be made available across the street from DEI at the Weiss Baseball field parking lot.  During the event there will be product displays, music and a food vendor at DEI’s headquarters located at 604 Moore Road in Avon Lake.

In its 31^st year, The Tire Rack One Lap of America is the modern day version of the famed Cannonball Sea to Shining Sea Memorial Trophy Dash of 1970. Created by Brock Yates and popularized by the movie Cannonball Run, today’s One Lap of America challenges it’s participants to endure long transit drives of over 400 miles daily and to compete on 12 of Americas most challenging racetracks in 8 days.
