“However, there are many ways to create an enjoyable party whether guests are sports fans or not,” continued Flohr. Here are three fun ideas for hosting an exciting event that everyone will look forward to and make it a roaring success.

Traditional March Madness Extras – When throwing the traditional college basketball oriented March Madness party, send out unique invitations. Make an invitation out of a game bracket so guests can bring their game pool entry and leave them at the door. A series of events can even have guests making a bet/entry on the winner and score of the game being played on the day of each party.

Make the party an event that guests will enjoy for hours, not just during the game. Start out with great food and music. Decorate the inside and outside of the house with basketball oriented colors. The decorations can be the color of a favored team playing that day, or traditionally general basketball orange and black. Spring Party Themes – The freshness and fun of spring makes for a great excuse for a party. Plan parties with spring-like themes such as a bumblebee, butterfly, or flower themes; these are the most commonly associated spring themes.

Bring sports fans together with everyone by incorporating a little of both types of themes. Try decorating inside for basketball and outdoors for the season. Make it easier for women to get involved with the basketball fever of a March Madness party and bring them to the inside party by showing some of the women’s tournament games as well, and getting everyone involved in the fun of choosing the winning team.

Experience March Madness in a Unique Way – Guests will be thrilled with a more non-traditional approach to March Madness. The typical living room parties centered around a television are so common that they are sometimes boring. Add extra fun to any March Madness party by hosting it in the hot tub.
