NBV Enterprise Solutions and Ashfield Council help retail entrepreneurs occupy vacant shops

EAST MIDLANDS, U.K. - March 26, 2014 - PRLog -- NBV Enterprise Solutions has partnered with Ashfield District Council to help start-up businesses access grant funding to occupy vacant shops or market stalls.

The grant, up to £3,000 per business, is part of a government incentive to encourage traders to the area, and give the town a chance to grow into a “vibrant, busy, environment for shoppers and traders.”

To qualify, businesses must have been trading for less than 12 months and be willing to set-up-shop within Ashfield, occupy stalls within the Idewells Indoor Market or outdoor stalls in Sutton, Kirkby or Hucknall.

Councillor Jim Aspinall, portfolio holder for regeneration, community well-being and planning at Ashfield District Council said: “As a result of the funding, vacant shops will be occupied, and the indoor and outdoor market stalls will potentially enjoy a higher occupancy rate.

“This is the support individuals are looking for to help them on the way to building a successful business.”

This is a fantastic opportunity for those who want to start-up in retail (but struggle to find the capital) to be part of a regeneration scheme that will bring a new, and diverse, generation of businesses to the high-street.

NBV has a successful long-standing relationship with Ashfield District Council and is delighted to be part of a scheme bringing parts of the district to life which has, since the economic downturn, seen traders gradually disperse.
