SoWal Wine Festival Will Feature Over 800 Wines
PRLog - Mar. 26, 2014 - DESTIN, Fla. -- In April, there are two much anticipated events for Northwest Florida. The Sandestin Wine Festival will take place over four days at the Village of Baytowne Wharf on April 10th-13th.  Hundreds of domestic and international wines will be featured for tasting and purchasing. Representatives from vineyards around the world will be participating in discussions on the variety of wines.

The annual South Walton Beaches Wine and Food Festival will be in Grand Boulevard this year on April 24th-27th.  Over 800 wines will be featured over the weekend, along with a variety of fine culinary treats and live entertainment. The festival benefits the Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation, which has been named a Top 10 Wine Charity Auction by Wine Spectator magazine. Popular celebrity chef and author, Emeril Lagasse will make a guest appearance on Saturday. Also, top songwriters from Nashville will perform as part of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association’s Endless Summer Songwriters Series. Destin vacation rentals are available for overnight accommodations.

First Note Music Hall had a short run in Blue Mountain Beach in 2012 before closing its location for good. Fans of the venue will be happy to know that the First Note experience will be revived this spring. Owner Tommy Jackson has joined Seascape Resort and Vue on 30A to provide live performances each weekend. As with previous First Note appearances, guests will include up and coming artists and songwriters of a variety of genres.

The Destin Commons is scheduled to open the new additional shops and restaurants in July. The expansion will include H&M retail store, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Yogo Mogo frozen yogurt shop, and Sunglass World. Uncle Buck’s Fish Bowl and Grill will open with a 16-lane bowling alley and island themed dining. Zoe’s Kitchen will be moving from the center of the Commons to a larger location in the new building.
