WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - March 26, 2014 - PRLog -- It was a boot stomping, bull riding, and rhinestone clad evening as cowboys and cowgirls converged at the National Croquet Center on Saturday, March 22 to celebrate KidSanctuary’s Second Annual Haute Hoedown.  The annual fundraiser is the biggest event of the year for KidSanctuary and the proceeds go directly to fulfilling the mission of building four homes and an enrichment center for abused, abandoned and neglected children. This year’s Hoedown will help support the second home and begin the Enrichment Center. The Dodero Cottage will officially become a home to six foster girls early this summer. The evening honored Design Chair, Joe Fava of Fava Design Group and the 14 designers who have generously volunteered their design innovations and services for the new Dodero Cottage.

The western themed evening was chaired by Michelle Boren, Stephanie Kantis and Frances Leidy-Mackay and brought in over 300 people. During the evening, guests could experience a taste of a real hoedown including a mechanical bull, carnival games, a whiskey poker room and live music from The Tom Jackson Band who kept the crowd on their feet all night. Additional highlights included Celebrity Design Chair, Thom Filicia from Queer Eye For The Straight Guywho helped with the live auction of a nearly flawless yellow diamond donated by Diamante Atelier and a special video message from Dr. Mehment Oz, advisory board trustee of KidSanctuary Campus.

“It was a fun evening and my gratitude goes to both the chairwomen and our designers”, said Connie Frankino, President and Founder of KidSanctuary Campus, Inc.  “Everyone who joined in the Haute Hoedown is making a difference in a foster child’s life by allowing us to fulfill our mission of providing a safe and happy haven.”

Award winning jewelry designer Stephanie Kantis said she agreed to co-chair the Haute Hoedown after meeting the girls who live in the first home, “We wanted to create an event where our guests could enjoy a evening that was reminiscent of a true western hoedown, but also let them know the benefits KidSanctuary is bringing to the foster children in our community, I think we accomplished both.”
