StartupYatra India - Startups meet Gurus - Let the journey begin!

NEW DELHI - March 26, 2014 - PRLog -- StartupYatra was born out of a need to impact India's entrepreneurship ecosystem. A country with over billion people and 30 million SMEs has not yet given birth to an Apple, Google or Facebook. With over a million engineers passing out each year, there is a need to stir people into action.

Imagine a group of 20-25 people (we call them Yatris) meeting the founder (we call them Gurus) of a successful company, getting to know about his humble beginning, seeing his office, meeting the team members, learning about their operations and spending time with fellow aspiring entrepreneurs - this is what StartupYatra does; it creates infinite possibilities!

Nurture Talent Academy has conducted over 450+ workshops, across 125+ cities and trained over 30000+ students in last 4 years - our aim is to motivate more than a 1000 people to create 20000 jobs for India.

What We Need & What You Get
An initiative like StartupYatra takes dedicated efforts towards logistics, planning and marketing. Scheduling sessions in Guru's office, spreading out the word, handling queries, collecting registrations, managing volunteers, coordinating programs on the day of event and post-event follow ups require constant monitoring and instant action.
It costs about 25-30 Lakhs to manage a year of 500+ StartupYatra sessions (approx 50000 USD). The event is free to attend for startups, professionals and students, as our aim is to create a vibrant community of entrepreneurs.

It is like organizing an OLYMPICS every day!
An initiative of this scale relies on society and community for support, success and sustenance. We have received sponsorship for few StartupYatra events in the past, and with your support, we are looking to take it farther and faster this year.

The Impact
I (Amit Grover) have been running NurtureTalent's various initiatives for last 4 years and prior to that handling operations at Mumbai Angels, India's premium angel investment network for 3 years before quitting to start my own venture for training and mentoring entrepreneurs. I spend most of my days and nights traveling to take entrepreneurship education to India's villages, towns, tehsils. There is a 9 out of 10 chance I have seen any city's railway station, bus stand or airport. And we have trained over 30000+ people - including school students, college students, professionals and startups.
