The Party Girl Web Series is live!

The new web series from Taurian Films is online for viewers ready for drama and costumed hijinks.

DENTON, Texas - March 28, 2014 - PRLog -- After months of hard work, literal blood, sweat and tears, the first season of Party Girl, a super hero themed Web series from writer/director Bj Lewis and his up and coming production group Taurian Films, debuted online this month.

“It’s truly been a team effort on this project from the actors involved to the businesses that allowed us to make use of their facilities to make this project happen,” Bj said.

The action drama series will be the third Web series from Bj, a journalist by day, who has produced the comedy series, "Dial-A-Ranger" and "Insourcing."

The show features a host of North Texas talent both in front of and behind the camera.

“For this to be a non-paid project, the level of talent I have been able to assemble has been incredible,”Lewis said. “I am continually humbled and blessed by the work and dedication to their craft everyone has shown in bringing this story to life”

Bj has been funding the series himself.

Party Girl stars Jeanne Lampley as Rachel Buchanan, a young girl who decides to become a masked hero and learns it’s a lot harder than she ever thought it could be. The overarching story of the first season is young people trying to find their place in the world and deal with the expectations parents and life has heaped on them.

Other featured cast members include Jenni Mabrey as Evelyn Buchanan, Rachel’s overbearing mother, D.J. Economou (Edward Buchanan), Giovannie Cruz (Red Rose/White Rose), Jacob Drum (Benton Alridge), Ada Perez (Connie Lopez), Alan Chow (Greg Hix/The Grasshopper), Samantha Rieff (Michelle Buchanan) and more.

Filming of the show took place in Denton at Achievers Gymnastics, Reding Martial Arts and various residences, Lewisville, Aubrey and Boyd. The production was able to make use of Boyd High School for the school scenes in the show.

“I can’t tell you how critical it was for us to be allowed to shoot in Boyd,” Bj said. “I am eternally grateful to the Boyd school district, the school board members, faculty and students who helped out on multiple shoots at the high school. If it weren’t for them, Party Girl would have gone nowhere.”
