CHARLOTTE, N.C. - March 25, 2014 - PRLog -- CHARLOTTE, N.C. – (MARCH 25, 2014) – Café Perfecto, a single origin, direct trade Colombian coffee company, today announced it will operate its warehouse and distribution center out of southwest Charlotte. Café Perfecto is an estate coffee grown on the El Socorro Family Farm in Amagá, Colombia just outside of Colombia’s second largest city, Medellin, on 575 acres in the middle of the Andes Mountains. Café Perfecto will import its Pergamino Coffee – coffee which has a thin crumbly skin and is the wet processed coffee bean that remains after coffee berries have been skinned, the pulp removed and the beans dried – for sale to roasters, gourmet coffee shops, high end supermarkets, corporate campuses and more.

“We are very excited to bring our ‘farm to cup’ coffee to the United States,” says Claudia Vargas, Café Perfecto Founder & Partner. “My family farm is very conscious of how we grow our coffee, but even more important is how we cultivate families and give back to the community. Without the hard work of our employees, we could not do what we do. Paying them a competitive wage, while also providing health insurance and childcare allows them to concentrate on delivering the best single origin coffee to the people of the United States.”

“As a Charlotte resident and small business owner, I couldn’t be happier that our business partners chose Charlotte to set up shop,” says Brian Cockman, Café Perfecto Business Partner and President of Rooster Communications. “Logistically speaking, the Queen City is perfectly located for Café Perfecto and will provide us a real advantage in delivering Pergamino (http://cafeperfecto.co/pergamino-coffee/), Green (http://cafeperfecto.co/green-coffee/), Roasted (http://cafeperfecto.co/roasted-coffee/), and Peaberry (http://cafeperfecto.co/peaberry-coffee/) coffees across the country.”

The Cooperativa de Caficultores de Salgar (Coffee Grower Cooperative of Salgar) – a leading coffee farmer co-op in Antioquia, Colombia – gave roasted Café Perfecto coffee a cupping score of 94. Cuppings here in the United States by Commonplace Coffee Company in Pennsylvania, gave the coffee a score of 89 and 90. According to the Coffee Review, the world’s leading coffee guide, a score of 94 ranks a coffee as some of the best in the world.
