Follow on Google News | KISFORKINKY.COM Releases First Short Film “SHE”Lifestyle journal KisforKinky.com has premiered its first short beauty film entitled, “SHE (Is Beautiful, Honest, Sexual, Loved, Liberated And Powerful).”

It has since grown to be a trusted editorial beauty and lifestyle journal known for its authentic, professional and sophisticated look at the lives and beauty of women of color, both with and without natural hair. Showcasing diversity along with a distinguished visual aesthetic has made KisforKinky one of the most compelling new voices in the digitalsphere targeting African American women. SHE was produced in partnership with the film's star, Nikia Phoenix of ModelLiberation.com. A print model and actress, Phoenix most recently appeared in a commercial campaign for Google Play that ran during the 2014 SuperBowl and is currently one of the new faces of mega beauty brand Carol's Daughter. “SHE has been a very enlightening and empowering experience. I normally don't see myself as the woman I am in SHE, but filming this helped me to accept that I'm also a sensual and sexual being and there is nothing wrong with that. I hope it allows other women to feel the same.” The subject matter of “SHE” also inspired a collaboration between a bevy of rising female talent in production, beauty and music. Jordan wrote and directed “”SHE while McCoy handled the cinematography. Phoenix's makeup was perfected by makeup artist Lindsey Calloway. Additionally, the soundtrack was performed by singer/songwriter Luna Angel. “SHE was an idea that I had for a while and I thought releasing it for Women's History Month would be perfect,” Jordan remarks. “I wanted to create visual content on film that celebrated not only black womanhood but also the reality of being a woman in general. That's how the website started. The site has always been aesthetically driven so video that elevates the message that you are beautiful- we are all beautiful- was the next organic step.” Continuing with their #youarebeautiful campaign, “SHE” is the beginning of what KisforKinky plans to be much more video content for their recently launched YouTube channel.
