Follow on Google News | "Local Flavor" Exhibition at Pleiades Gallery Celebrates Durham April 1 - May 10, 2014By: Pleiades Gallery Connection with people is one of the key ingredients of Durham. As part of the Local Flavor show, the artists of Pleiades Gallery will showcase work by our friend and fellow artist, Mr. Ernest Oliphant, who passed away on February 20, 2014. Mr. Oliphant, who was regularly seen downtown sketching people and animals, and who participated in Pleiades’ “Truth to Power” show, was loved by the entire Durham arts community. “Local Flavor” runs from April 1st to May 10th, 2014. Pleiades Gallery will host a Third Friday reception on April 18th from 6-9 pm. Located in downtown Durham, Pleiades is a fine art gallery owned and operated by local artists who celebrate Durham’s rich, diverse cultural energy. Pleiades Gallery exists to connect more people to the power of art. The Gallery welcomes new art appreciators as well as established collectors and strives to both build strong relationships with its customers and to help connect various arts communities within the city.
