COMMERCE, Mich. - March 24, 2014 - PRLog -- Nuspire Networks, a global leader in enterprise network security services, released its next generation Unified Threat Management (UTM) device for small office, branch office and retail environments.  The NuSecure UTM v1.5 series network appliances are based on embedded ultra-low voltage ATOM 1.8GHz  processors  running customized security software which is integrated into Nuspire’s Enterprise SIEM system.  The CPU delivers power-efficient processing while the Intel ICH8M system logic provides PCI-E bus network bandwidth.  The NuSecure UTM 1.5 includes an internal 2.5” HDD, CF Socket, USB 2.0 ports, Mini-PCIe and console connection options; it also comes with six integrated GbE ports with optional bypass and can be easily deployed in front-line security applications where reliability and availability are of key concern.  Measuring only 40 mm in height, the NuSecure UTM can be deployed virtually anywhere. Its space-saving design offers flexibility and cost savings while maintaining the high throughput and availability required for network security, acceleration and other network applications. Also the corrugated aluminum casing allows heat to dissipate off the top of the platform allowing for a fan-less design. The devices integrate with Nuspire’s own Trax Management and Monitoring Portal, which has also gone through a refresh, adding many new HTML5 based widgets and dashboards.
