The Institute 4 Creativity Announces Spring 2014 Programs, Including a New Language Series

The Institute 4 Creativity’s Spring 2014 schedule starts April 1 with a diverse lineup of youth after-school and adult classes and workshops, including a new curriculum focused on building language skills.
 
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - March 24, 2014 - PRLog -- The Institute 4 Creativity (http://www.institute4creativity.org/) (I4C) is excited to announce its spring program series, designed specifically to stimulate creative development and support the fulfillment of creative pursuits, will begin April 1.

“Creativity is the single means of empowerment for all people. It is the foundation of everything that we endeavor to do. I4C is committed to offering a wide variety of classes to help people develop their creative abilities and realize their creative aspirations. Creativity is for everyone and everyone can benefit from developing and using their innate capacity to create.” stated I4C Director, Bill Longfellow.

The diverse course lineup will offer youth after-school and adult workshops and guided studio sessions. Traditional skills like drawing, painting, fiction writing, and jazz guitar will be taught in addition to more innovative practices, like: project management and 3-D modeling and virtual design. Youth afterschool programs include Creative Exploration Studio, Art Studio, and Music Mondays-After School JAMS, where youths in bands can sign up for guided practice sessions. Adults and youths age 15 and over can participate in Xpress, I4C’s new monthly publication dedicated to freedom of speech, press, and expression.

Also new for this session are language classes: English as a Second Language, Spanish for Beginners, Spanish for the Workplace, Spanish Refresher! Perfect for Travel and Everyday Life, and Second Language Club, where people wanting to improve their Spanish or English can come together to help each other build their language skills.

I4C’s reasonably priced classes are taught by experienced, passionate instructors who enjoy sharing their knowledge and helping others succeed. Attendees can pre-register at I4C weekdays 10am-7pm or at the first class session. Cash and local checks accepted. Parent/guardian permission is required for minors to sign up for classes.
