LMI’s Wilkerson to Chair CCALS Technical Advisory Committee

MCLEAN, Va. - March 24, 2014 - PRLog -- LMI has further solidified its role in Virginia’s collaborative partnership to transform logistics operations, the Commonwealth Center for Advanced Logistics Systems (CCALS), with Taylor Wilkerson selected to chair the initiative’s Technical Advisory Committee.

“CCALS brings together an unmatched logistics research capability by drawing the best capabilities from its member universities. I am excited to have a role in guiding this research to support logistics innovations,” said Wilkerson, who is a program manager for LMI, and is known for his deep, acclaimed expertise in supply chain and risk analysis and assessment.

Modeled after the successful Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CCAM), CCALS offers businesses and government agencies with significant logistics operations a new, unique and collaborative research-and-development (R&D) method that promises to cut costs, accelerate new discoveries and deliver transformative results to the technology, transportation, human and other systems that enable logistics.
