The Financial Support Coordinator for Open Arms, Rhonda House, has been a regular customer at the studio and recently reached out to the paint and sip art studio during a North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce FYI Luncheon.
The mission of Open Arms Shelter is to provide both temporary and long term care housing to victims of abuse and neglect up to 18 years of age. Since 1986, Open Arms has provided emergency safe housing to over 2,450 children. Before the opening of their new 7,000 square foot wing just a few months ago, the non-profit could only house up to 12 children at any given time with a maximum residency in its DHS contracted emergency care program of only 45 days.
The art studio's silent auction donation gift basket to Open Arms will include a painting party for up to 20 people, valued at over $900.00, and it is their deepest hope that this will generate significant auction bids to support a critically important cause in our community.
Pinot's Palette Little Rock's partnership with Open Arms Shelter won't stop there! They will be hosting a painting party fundraiser called "Painting It Forward With Open Arms" where up to 40% of the proceeds will go to the Shelter to support emergency housing needs for young victims of abuse. Montgomery says, "Our main studio room, The Mona Lisa Suite, features upscale accommodations including a fabulous Wine Bar, comfortable lounging area, hors d'oeuvre station for your delectables;
“Painting It Forward” is the Pinot’s Palette franchise’s official community service arm, through which each of its 50+ studios are both highly encouraged and even more highly motivated to partner with local community based organizations and social agencies to advance causes and initiatives that contribute to the well-being of citizens in those communities.
