HamletHub Adding Chappaqua as Latest City in Its Roster of Hyperlocal News Sites

PRLog - Mar. 24, 2014 - CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Chappaqua, NY. March 24, 2014 – HamletHub.com a pioneering network of 'hyperlocal' websites providing locally originated news and information to communities has launched its newest hyperlocal site for the Chappaqua, NY area, the company announced today.

With a full roster of sites covering most of Connecticut, HamletHub has begun its expansion to Westchester County and is proud too announce that Chappaqua resident, Samantha Levine, has agreed to become the editor of Chappaqua HamletHub (../chappaqua). According to the company's founder, Kerry Anne Ducey, establishing sites in New York was a natural next-step for the hugely popular and successful CT-based company.

"We are thrilled to welcome our neighbors in the vibrant New York village of Chappauqa to HamletHub," said Ms. Ducey. "There are so many great people and businesses in the Chappaqua community who deserve to have their very own forum to share neighborhood news, stories, ideas, events and best business practices. Samantha will help make Chappaqua a better place." Ducey adds.

HamletHub launched the first local news "Hub" in Ridgefield in 2009 with a mission to make the world better, one HamletHub at a time. HamletHub won a prestigious Connecticut Press Club Award in 2012, 2013, and took home 6 awards in 2014 including Best For Profit Website.

HamletHub sites differ from other media outlets based on their focus on the needs of the community, its residents as well as the organizations and businesses that make up the fabric of the town. Chappaqua HamletHub offers a unique opportunity for these groups to have a voice in their community, either by submitting articles to the site as a local resident, or by participating in the site's unique Article Membership service for businesses, giving them an unprecedented opportunity to tell their story and to differentiate themselves in the marketplace.

Samantha Levine relocated from Manhattan to Chappaqua when she was in sixth grade. Samantha attended Robert E. Bell Middle School and Horace Greeley High School, where she excelled in jewelry making and design. Levine graduated form Greeley in 2005 and went on to earn her Bachelor's degree from Skidmore College, with a major in American Studies and a minor in Metals. In 2009 Samantha began attending Western New England School of Law. While still attending law school, Samantha launched her own jewelry business, Auburn Jewelry. Samantha loves local business and wants to see them thrive. She is extremely excited to start this new endeavor as the editor of the Chappaqua HamletHub and to facilitate in bringing the community together, relaying local news, and getting to know local residents.
