Tyrone, a short film and music video veteran, decided that the time was right to write, produce, and star in his first feature-length motion picture, "Kung Fu, Old Skool, & Tyrone". The story focuses on forgiveness and how the scars of the past can be healed when things are made right. The comedy features an unlikely group of heroes who take on a rescue mission that the police can't involve themselves with.
The film was a runner up at the 2013 Kingdomwood Christian Film Festival's Red Carpet Premiere contest and has received a family friendly seal from the Dove Foundation for ages 12+.
Tyrone wanted to do something different after the limited release of the film. "It is challenging to find independent theaters in different states that are close to your fans" says Tyrone, so he decided to give it away online for free. The company launched the movies website http://kotmovie.com where they give away the full film, original script, production guide and even a link to watch it on YouTube. They communicate with their fans on Twitter and Facebook and through their monthly newsletter when you sign up for the freebies.
The movie has received great reviews and support from its fan base. What better than to reward them with free access to the film. Tyrone addressed a screening audience and said, "I have been thinking about making movies since I saw Spike Lee's "She's Gotta Have It" in 1986. The technology of today allowed me to live my dream and I am blessed to have a wife, family, and friends who believed in me."
