MARSEILLE, France - March 22, 2014 - PRLog -- Rafting Expérience® offers you, within the framework of its sporting leisure activities, a new multisport pack by the day. In order to meet demand, which has become increasingly persistent in recent seasons, the team offers the general public white water sports days that are friendly, refreshing and full of thrills.

The clientele of the Hautes Alps, and specifically throughout the Serre Chevalier Valley, presents a marked enthusiasm for the practice of sports activities.

Full day: Children’s Special

The smallest children, in an age group from six to ten years old, want to practise sports in a fun, recreational atmosphere, for which there are sessions of about two to three hours spread over the morning and afternoon.

The Special Children's full day pack consists of a rafting session in the morning, with the embellishment of an Indian hunt - camouflage, twigs in the helmet and mud make up are all in the order of the day!

After lunch in a restaurant located 100m from the sailing base, the afternoon includes an academic lesson in driving rules and the highway code, by practising in pedal karts on a circuit set up in the parking lot of Lake Pontillas 50 m from the base.

And to finish and complete the afternoon, the children along with the parents will be tested by a “mammoth” tournament of mini-golf! Skill, concentration and dexterity are the key to success in this test!

Full day: River Discovery pack

In a full day of activities, this programme is intended for families with young adolescents. Open to take part from 12 years old.

The morning’s activity consists of a welcome at the base on the stroke of 10 a.m. The Discovery white water rafting Serre Chevalier session on the river Guisane begins with the distribution of equipment, wetsuit, lifejacket and helmet. After a bus transfer, there is a safety briefing at the start point in the village of Le Casset in the commune of Monêtier les Bains.

The 7km descent takes an hour, to finish at Villeneuve. With an intermediate level of difficulty this run, which is the equivalent of a nice walk, is punctuated by areas of calm waters and stunning panoramas of the valley interspersed with faster sections which provide exciting thrills while maintaining an optimum level of safety.

After such excitement…, lunch at the Chalet du Lac is welcome!

The afternoon session focuses on individual white water activities. The idea is that the participants are initiated in the handling of the raft on a river.

The support choice relies on the Air-Boat. This is a pneumatic single-seater inflatable boat, which is very manoeuvrable and turns easily. The stability is ensured by the width.

The guide gives the relevant instructions on raft handling at the departure point in the village of Guibertes. Then on a very quiet part of the Guisane, the run is organised like a school class. Time is given to the basic technicalities, how to cast off in the current, tackle bends, avoid the rocks (little ones ...) and the way to stop on the riverbanks.

It is a question of understanding an often unknown natural environment, i.e. to help each other and understand that safety is everyone’s business.

So here it is, on one day, a discovery programme where children and parents alike will be performers in the sessions.

So don’t hesitate on the choice of your next rafting week end, Serre Chevalier is the right choice!
