MEMPHIS, Tenn. - March 22, 2014 - PRLog -- Many artists talk about women in their songs, but not many mention them as rap artist and music producer Paul Mahsahn, whose new song is a tribute to the confidence and beauty of black women.

Halted from rapping since 2000 due to personal hardships, Paul Mahsahn has returned to the music scene with conscious hip-hop in the new single "Ms Jetblack."

Inspired and influenced by an internet poll that rated black women as the least attractive women on earth and by another record titled White Girls, Paul Mahsahn, being a father with a daughter of his own, created the conscious hip hop song, “Ms. Jetblack,” to show cultural pride for black women.

Not just for black women, Paul Mahsahn in “Ms Jetblack” created a record that celebrates women period, but it asks that other women celebrate and respect black women's role in history.

When asked about the title of his single “Ms. Jetblack,” which is receiving radio airplay in the Mid-South including on Arkansas stations 104.9, 105.3 and 98.7 FM, Paul Mahsahn stated the following:

"This record is titled “Ms.Jetblack” because it speaks of a confident black woman. This woman is classy, elegant, despite the fact that she parties and drinks from time to time, she is business savvy, a leader of herself, and highly educated. She is well-balanced, takes pride in taking care of herself, her kids, respecting and honoring her man. These are qualities that anyone can have but it's dedicated to the black woman who at times may have felt unnoticed, it is a song of inspiration which says to her that she is recognized and honored."

Paul Mahsahn reveals the record was also written with events such as Africa in April, the Sisterhood Showcase, Curtis Givens All Black Affair, Black Girls rock, and television programs such as on the African American history channel in mind, and also with black college radio in mind as well.

In addition to the release of “Ms. Jetblack,” Paul Mahsahn is working with local producer/songwriter Elliott "ET" Smith on his single “New Season,” which will be available on iTunes and also featuring Ari Hotep of Memphis, TN by way of Atlanta.

The new upcoming single is expected this summer.

Meanwhile, Paul Mahsahn is also in talks with Bizzy Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony about working on an upcoming project together.
