Bowling Modernization is on the Rise with Laser Tag

March 21, 2014 - PRLog -- The Gulf Bowl in Foley, Alabama has recently opened a huge multi-level laser tag arena designed by Creative Works (http://www.theWOWeffect.com). The 30,000 square foot family-owned bowling center has been open since 1959, and prides itself in providing the best bowling experience around. The bowling facility now has an over 3,500 square foot custom Battle Quest arena to enhance its customers' bowling experience. Players coming to Gulf Bowl's new laser tag arena will be amazed by the realistic battle field experience.

Creative Works has multiple themes available for their laser tag attractions, but they developed a custom look for Gulf Bowl. Guests are fitted with Zone laser tag equipment for interactive game play.  When players enter the arena, they are transported to a realistic city complex devastated by battle. Complete with color-changing props, detailed murals, and a large 3D focal piece, the arena completely immerses players into another world.

Piles of faux rubble provide cover from enemy sight and shelter from the elements.  Abandoned satellite radar props tower overhead as players coordinate with their teams to end the battle and save the city. Once patrons exit the laser tag attraction, they have the opportunity to enjoy many of the other games available at the facility.

Butch and Sonya Cole, owners of Cole Enterprises and multiple bowling centers, have been fast adapters in the push for bowling modernization. In 2011, they saw the opportunity to convert their Eastern Shore Lanes facility into a much more diverse entertainment center. Adding a laser tag attraction gave them multiple revenue streams and boosted their profitability.

"The Eastern Shore location is doing really well," said Dusty Cole, son of Sonya and Butch Cole. "We were happy with the reaction of the community when they walked into our arena, and the effect it has had on the business as a whole." After seeing the success of the Eastern Shore location, the Cole family wanted to bring the "WOW Effect" to The Gulf Shore site. "Adding laser tag gives us that other attraction in the building and increases our reach to other customers and families. We have been very happy with the results from Eastern Shore Lanes, and we are looking forward to a big spring and summer for Gulf Bowl."

The Gulf Bowl features a full service seafood restaurant, arcade, snack bar, and billiards room. More fun for the whole family, The Gulf Bowl, includes 24 state-of-the-art lanes, a pro shop and the new laser tag attraction.
