Tenji Inc. Presents Vision For New Exhibit At Aquamarine Fukushima

Tenji’s Andy Case Attends Oasis Garden opening and Speaks At The OASIS Symposium In Japan

March 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Onahama, Japan - Tenji Inc. Principle Andy Case was honored to be the only American representative invited to speak at the OASIS Symposium to commemorate the opening of the Kuwait-FukushimaMemorial Japanese Gardens in Fukushima, Japan.  Andy’s speech presented Tenji’s vision for an innovative and immersive exhibit experience currently being designed by the team for Aquamarine Fukushima.

The Memorial Gardens project is the result of a multimillion dollar donation from the Government of Kuwait to support the mission of the Aquamarine Fukushima. At the center of the Kuwait-FukushimaMemorial Japanese Gardens is a huge stone collected from the Samegawa River which symbolizes the steadfast friendship the two nations hold for one another.  A breathtaking ring-shaped pond filled with elegant Japanese Koi adds vibrant color and movement to the striking garden landscape. The pristine gardens emphasize the importance of reviving the local ecological balance among the mountains, rivers and oceans.

“As I continue to work on AMF exhibits, I feel particularly honored to work with Mr.Abe and AMF staff to encourage more Tom Sawyers and Becky Thatchers to explore and find their inspiring Mark Twain oasis.” said Andy Case, Tenji Principle.

The OASIS Symposium drew notable speakers, scientists and dignitaries from around the world. Case spoke about the new exhibit being designed for Aquamarine and how it was inspired by his own childhood memories of the natural world. The unique new project is intended to depict the Jomon period in Japanese history. The Jomon era dates back 3000 years, a time when the indigenous people lived in harmony beside the nearby Samegawa River and Abukuma Mountains. Tenji has been continuously involved in the AMF’s growth and planning since 2001, helping the facility design multiple displays, including its Evolution of Life in the Seas exhibit and the Kids Fisheries Museum, which opened in 2010.

Case and Aquamarine Fukushima, Executive Director Yoshitaka Abe were both inspired by the curiosity and mischievousness of the Adventures of Tom Sawyer. “As we grow, age and eventually expire, our role should be to construct a legacy that inspires the next generations of Tom and Beckyʼs. When they become captivated with what they find, it holds better promise that it will be there for the following generation” said Case. The fascinating new outdoor display will encourage visitors to connect with all aspects of the living and physical world and reflect on the Jomon people who once inhabited the area.
