Clean Water Is Pure Happiness!

SAN ANTONIO - March 20, 2014 - PRLog -- April is Earth Month at Aveda™, The Art and Science of Pure Flower and Plant Essences. In 2014, the botanical beauty brand is committed to raising $6 million for clean water and San Antonio’s very own Aveda Institute San Antonio is stepping up to support the effort alongside thousands of other Aveda locations around the world.

Aveda Institute San Antonio has set a fundraising goal of $6000 and will host a fashion show, Catwalks for Water, at Club Rio (281 and Bitters) on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 7:30PM.  Most notably, Aveda Institute San Antonio will participate in a Global Cut-A-Thon and Beyond on Monday, April 7, 2014, from 9am-4pm. Aveda Institute San Antonio encourages all to bring a guest to the event to help Aveda reach to goal of $6 million. Aveda stylists in salons worldwide will volunteer their time to offer haircuts and beauty services in return for a donation to Earth Month, a simple and beautiful way for their guests to actively care for the environment.

Aveda professionals in more than 30 countries have collectively raised more than $32 million for in support of Earth Month since the campaign’s inception in 1999.  Beginning in 2007, Aveda has donated Earth Month proceeds to organizations working to combat the clean water crisis – to date more than $26 million have been directed to support hundreds of clean water projects on six continents.  Funds raised by Aveda Institute San Antonio will benefit Gulf Restoration Network and Lower Mississippi Riverkeeper – local charities that work to protect our waters from pollution.
