Pretty In Pink Foundation Announces 10-Year Commemorative BrandingPretty In Pink Foundation achieves business milestone while providing hope and healing to underinsured and uninsured North Carolinians diagnosed with breast cancer
By: YellowWood Group Pretty In Pink Foundation’s mission is the same today as it was in 2004 - to provide financial assistance to uninsured and underinsured breast cancer patients. Pretty In Pink Foundation (PIPF) believes that everyone diagnosed with breast cancer is entitled to quality, life-saving medical care, regardless of their ability to pay. In addition, PIPF offers quality of life and support services that extend beyond medical expenses to make fighting the breast cancer battle more manageable. The commemorative logo signifies both the 10th anniversary for PIPF and serves as a tribute to each individual champion they have served along the way. PIPF honors the individuals they serve by referring to them as “champions” Penny Lauricella, MHA, Executive Director of Pretty In Pink Foundation, remarks, “The words ‘you have breast cancer’ are not words anyone ever expects to hear. The reality is that breast cancer does happen, and few are financially and emotionally prepared for the long journey of fighting and winning the breast cancer battle. We exist to support them and to provide the hope and resources people need to be champions. The work we do is life saving and I am humbled by the impact we make in the lives of people every day.” To celebrate the ten-year milestone, each PIPF office will host commemorative events throughout 2014 based on the anniversary theme “No Champion Left Behind”. Pretty In Pink Foundation is fully committed to supporting individuals diagnosed with breast cancer that are facing financial barriers. This commitment is as much their message as it is their mission.
