PRLog - Mar. 20, 2014 - NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Jessica Beaver,  Teenager, Publishes Her Second Book

Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc, of Johnson City, Tennessee, is proud to announce the release of A Father’s Love, the young-adult novelby fifteen-year-old author Jessica Beaver. The teenage East Tennessean has received recognition and several awards for her writing and illustrations. Her first book, The Night Before Halloween, was released in 2013.

A Father’s Love is a Christian inspirational story set in the late 1800s. The story focuses on the hardships and challenges that Sam Ford, a widower, faces in raising his two children. Throughout the novel, Sam’s actions have important consequences—negative and positive—on his life and on those of the people close to him.

Prompted by his love for his children, Beaver’s central character has committed several crimes, consequently putting his life in danger. Because of his actions, Samuel’s precious children themselves are now endangered, and he worries that he will be able to keep them fed, clothed, and unharmed. Life takes a sudden turn when Sam experiences an unexpected kindness from a stranger. Sam’s life soon becomes an example of how powerful God’s love—like a father’s love—can be.

“My personal Christian faith is demonstrated through the fictional characters in this story.  My writing goal is to entertain readers of all ages. I thank the Lord for the talents He has blessed me with, and I want to share them with others,” says Beaver.

Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc, includes the imprints Mountain Girl Press, Little Creek Books, Express Editions, RoseHeart Publishing, and DigiStyle. Each imprint specializes in a particular genre—from local Appalachian stories to children’s books and more. At JCP, we believe ‘Every story needs a book.’
