Amoresano Joins Cushman and Wakefield's New Jersey Project Management Team

Practice Growth Accommodates Commercial Real Estate Industry Ramp-Up

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - March 20, 2014 - PRLog -- Marc D. Amoresano has joined Cushman & Wakefield's East Rutherford-based Project Management group, which is part of the commercial real estate services firm's Corporate Occupier and Investor Services (CIS) practice. The Whippany, N.J., resident brings to his new position more than two decades of regional construction and design experience involving office, industrial, retail and specialized buildings and spaces.

Cushman & Wakefield's project managers support the company's brokerage and property management professionals with their construction-related requirements. This includes preparing budgets and schedules for proposals to potential clients, as well as running entire build-out or ground-up projects for existing customers - including planning, design and construction team assembly, and coordinating implementation from start to finish.

Amoresano's expertise covers this full range of responsibilities. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, he worked as a project superintendent for Turner Construction Company. Among his accomplishments there he most recently served as lead superintendant for the NYU Medical Center Restoration, a $45 million dollar project to restore the world class hospital to operating status within two months of the damage caused by Superstorm Sandy. His work at Turner also included a restack of office space for TD Ameritrade, a data center for JP Morgan Chase and a 25,000-square-foot office fit-out at 1 Gateway Center in Newark. A Registered Architect in New Jersey and a LEED Accredited professional, he also offers a wealth of design experience.

"My role at Cushman & Wakefield enables me to combine my construction and architectural skills, which made the opportunity an interesting and compelling fit," Amoresano said. "The projects I'm working on pull everything from my understanding of code and compliance, to my ability to work with a client to come up with a design layout that best suits the need at hand. I also appreciate the chance to work on a diverse group of assignments." Currently, Amoresano is heading a kitchen café renovation, office and industrial space fit-outs, and a parking garage renovation, among other projects.

"Marc is a great addition to our project management team, which over the past few years has taken our construction oversight capabilities to a new level," noted Cushman & Wakefield's Kimberly Brennan, New Jersey market leader. "As our tenant, investor, property owner and developer clients ramp up their activity commensurate with the economic rebound, this group is keeping a growing queue of projects and people moving forward efficiently and on budget."

Amoresano holds a bachelor's degree in Architecture from the Catholic University of America's School of Architecture in Washington, D.C.
