As the first dentist in California to begin accepting this form of digital payment for dental services, FOX 11 veteran reporter Phil Shuman was intrigued by Dr. Greg Rubin and wanted to find out more.
So he and a camera crew came out to the Calabasas Dental Institute to interview him and two of his Bitcoin patients, serial entrepreneur Amnon L. and Steve B., the founder and CEO of a payment processing company called GoCoin.com, to see how the digital transactions actually work.
After conducting interviews, Shuman filmed Amnon paying for his services using Bitcoin. He demonstrated how easy the entire process was with a few simple clicks of the mouse.
After spending nearly two hours at the Calabasas Dental Institute, Shuman wrapped the shoot and headed back to the station.
The story aired later that evening in a four-minute segment called “Bitcoin: Do we understand it and do we need to?” prominently featuring Dr. Greg Rubin and the day’s other Bitcoin news.
