Novaetus Accredited for 2014 to Conduct CAHPS® PCMH Surveys

NOVI, Mich. - March 25, 2014 - PRLog -- Novaetus, Inc. announces it has been fully certified by NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) to conduct Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) CAHPS® surveys for physician practices. The Patient Centered Medical Home is a way of delivering primary care that emphasizes coordination of care and communication between provider and patient.  Many studies indicate that Medical Homes lead to higher quality of care, and a more equitable reimbursement for Medical Home practices.

The PCMH CAHPS survey is part of the family of Consumer Assessment of Healthcare providers and systems surveys developed jointly by Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ)  and NCQA to assess patient’s perspectives on care, and to allow meaningful comparisons between practices on domains that are important to patients.

To become an NCQA-Certified CAHPS Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Survey Vendor, an organization  must demonstrate that it has the capabilities, experience, and expert personnel to accurately administer the CAHPS survey.  Certification requires extensive and ongoing training.
