By: IBMC College Taking her experience from the workplace to the classroom, she will educate learners on how to give injections, prepare lab specimens, perform suture removal and sterilize equipment. Students will be taught how to take vital signs, assist with patient preparation and perform EKGs, among a host of other duties. Prior to working as an Adjunct Medical Assisting Instructor at IBMC College, Ireland was employed at the Family Medicine Center in Fort Collins as a Medical Assistant and a Medical Technician/RM at Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, WY in 2011-2013. In 2011 and 2010, she was employed as a Registered Medical Assistant at the Loveland Family Practice and Sunrise Loveland Community Health Center. Ireland received her Associates of Occupational Studies Medical Assisting Degree from IBMC College in 2009. She looks forward to working in a fast-paced environment, where she will have the opportunity to teach others the skills needed to succeed as a Medical Assistant in as little 15-19 months.* *As prescribed, the Medical Assisting Diploma program can be completed in 15 months and 19 months for the Degree program.
