PRLog - March 19, 2014 - ST. LOUIS -- The 10th Anniversary Builders St. Charles Home Show is April 4-6 at the St. Charles Convention Center, with free admission and parking! The Show is the place to see, learn about and buy the latest home products and services from more than 250 companies in one day, in one place. The Show, produced by the Home Builders Association of St. Louis and Eastern Missouri, will include approximately 350 booths, filling both levels of the facility.

The St. Charles Convention Center is conveniently located just off Interstate 70 at Fifth Street in St. Charles and has 70,000 square feet of exhibit space and 1,100 free parking spaces. Find windows, doors, fencing, decks, kitchen and bath products, pools, spas, home accessories and much more – plus experts who can answer all of your home improvement questions.
Attend a seminar by Joe Washington, the original host of Ground Breakers, the longest running landscape show on HGTV. The show followed the spectacular transformation of ordinary yards into magnificent outdoor spaces. Besides his work at HGTV, Joe is a veteran broadcaster, corporate spokesman, narrator, actor and presenter. You may recognize him from a variety of acting roles, including on television in Army Wives, Reed Between the Lines, Savannah, and In the Heat of the Night. He has also appeared in films such as Forrest Gump, Scream 2 and most recently in Anchorman 2.
Joe’s passion for outdoor living spaces and training as a Master Gardener make him a popular speaker at home shows and events across the country. Audiences respond to his highly-credible style, sense of humor and easygoing nature as they learn about smart gardening practices and discover how to create fantastic outdoor spaces. Joe’s seminars include Planting the Right Plant in the Right Place, the Right Way - gardening with an emphasis on water conservation and wise plant choices and Creating Outdoor Living Spaces on a Budget. He will also present Adaptive Gardening - techniques, tips and tools for seniors aging in place and people with disabilities to use gardening as a source of therapy and recreation, on Friday at 3 p.m.
Jeff Holper, The Mole Hunter presents Taking Your Lawn Back from Moles and Voles, an educational, entertaining program to help you get rid of moles, voles and other vermin in your yard. Bring your questions and your bugs, and let him help you with your pest problems. Scott Mosby, KMOX Home Answer Man will talk about the cost savings and benefits of a bath remodel done right the first time.
Don’t miss the 8th Annual St. Charles Sausage Festival & Wine Tasting. This special feature area will have free tastings from Missouri sausage producers and wineries. Show visitors can also purchase items to take home. Davis Meat Processing, Swiss Meat & Sausage Co., and Williams Brothers Meat Co. will offer samples of tasty specialty products like tomato basil and mushroom and Swiss cheese bratwurst, plus various smoked and cured products. Attendees can also taste wines from Fahrmeier Family Vineyards, located in Lexington, Westphalia Vineyards, located in Westphalia and Stone Hill Winery, located in Hermann.
Visit the Walter Knoll Floral Stage and you can participate in hands-on floral design classes full of fun, innovative ideas presented by Walter Knoll Florist’s master designers. You can be the floral designer! Create your own bouquet to take home or give as a gift. Choose from several types of bouquets, each valued between $75 and $125 dollars. Classes have a nominal $5 fee. Space is limited, so come early and sign up.
Shop the Spa, Swim Spa and Sauna Super Sale, sponsored by SPAS AND MORE! This spectacular sale offers show visitors the opportunity to shop a wide variety of spas, swim spas and saunas. An 1,800 square foot tent will be accessible from just outside the main Show entrance in the south parking lot.
The Home show is always a family-friendly event, so bring the kids! Local magician, Chris Carpunky, will present a fun, fast-paced comedy magic show that the whole family will enjoy. Chris has been performing magic for more than 23 years and loves to get his audiences involved in his shows.
