By: Physical Therapy Center of Bristol and Southington Despite some of the most difficult economic years to date, Physical Therapy Center has not only survived, but grown to a second location in Southington over the last ten years since owner, Craig Zettergren, PT, MS, Dip. MDT opened its doors. Its success is a testament to the perseverance and vivaciousness of the City of Bristol. “Bristol is a great city. It’s convenient, it’s affordable, and it welcomes people from all walks of life to live, work and succeed here. We are proud to be the ‘Home Team’ for physical therapy in Bristol,” Craig shares. To help celebrate this monumental achievement, the Physical Therapy Center (PTC) is inviting everyone to their birthday party who has had a hand in helping them succeed. The Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce will be in attendance, along with several other local business networking groups. Physical Therapy Center staff will be donning “Team PTC” baseball jerseys and will be joining in baseball-themed games and festivities throughout the night. Thanking Physical Therapy Center of Bristol’s supporters Without the support of their patients, who are so pleased with their service that they send their friends and family for therapy, the Physical Therapy Center would not be where they are today. “I think what makes us different is our philosophy. We empower our patients to be independent and manage their pain through education. We treat every patient as if they were family; we really care—not just about their treatment and condition, but as a person, a friend. Our relationship doesn’t end on graduation day,” Craig divulges. Working hard to help Bristol physical therapy patients Patients of the Physical Therapy Center typically are dealing with pain from a variety of injuries and conditions. Being the only Certified McKenzie Spine Care and Extremity Clinic in Connecticut, many patients are seen for back pain or other orthopedic injuries, both pre- and post-surgical. Vestibular ailments such as dizziness and balance issues can also be treated with physical therapy. Gait problems and other sports injury sufferers also benefit greatly from physical therapy at PTC. With same day appointments every day, early morning and late evening openings, Physical Therapy Center is extremely accommodating, and works with nearly all insurances.
