In the hands-on clinic at 9:30 AM, Holley will go over the Olympic lifts and give you tips and techniques to help you improve your form and take your lifts and competition to the next level. Come with questions; Holley will talk about her life, weightlifting, her daily routine, nutrition, her time on The Biggest Loser, and everything in between.
At 3:30 PM there will be a separate Meet & Greet session with Holley for people who just want to meet Holley and ask questions about the Olympics or what it's really like on the Biggest Loser ranch.
By attending Holley's clinic or meet and greet, you'll not only get the chance to learn from Olympic-level athlete, you'll also be helping to lift up her chances to bring home the gold in 2016. Teaching these weightlifting clinics is how Holley supports herself and can afford to train for the Olympic Games. 100% of the proceeds from the clinic and the meet and greet go directly to Holley so she can continue to train. Many don't realize the financial burden that US athletes struggle with. Other countries fully fund their Olympic teams. The United States Olympic Committee does not fully fund our athletes, and while those in sports like gymnastics or snowboarding win million-dollar endorsement deals, many Olympic hopefuls in the USA struggle to make ends meet while training and traveling to competitions.1
In countries like Russia and China, weightlifters are superstars that draw huge crowds. USA Weightlifting is seeing a big boost in popularity thanks to the proliferation of CrossFit. Not long ago, many people had no idea what it was like to snatch a loaded bar off the ground and over their heads, but now people all over the world do it every week. By taking part in Holley's clinic, you will be supporting an amazing athlete, the USA weightlifting team, and the sport of weightlifting.
