Unique Past of Barnegat on display at Unshredded Nostalgia

SHIP BOTTOM, N.J. - March 17, 2014 - PRLog -- The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its 100th Anniversary this spring, which is the perfect time to invite residents and fellow businesses to explore the past with the current exhibit in the New Jersey room of member Unshredded Nostalgia, who is located 323 South Main Street in Barnegat as they unveil a collection of several hundred pieces of Barnegat memorabilia including Photos signs,Bill head and letterhead, postcards and other ephemera. The Barnegat Display is a education of what brings a community together, how business adapts, and the stories that are passed down through local legends.

We are just temporary custodians of these artifacts,” says proprietor and
resident researcher Jim Episale.” It’s something that all of us, both young and old, can share, enjoy and treasure, we sell the objects that people throw away and thus help preserve the past.' Since 1978 Unshredded Nostalgia has housed an eclectic mix of 17th through 20th century antiques, collectibles, paper and advertising items including over 2,000 historical documents, thousands of photo archives.
