Empire Medical Training looks forward to expanding these charitable events in the following years to come. The company plans to recruit additional vendors and sponsors every year to not only expand the holiday festivities, but also provide a solid foundation of shelter, food, and education to improve the quality of lives for the locals throughout various Peruvian villages and help them to thrive successfully.
In December 2013, Empire Medical Training, Rx Medical Web, and Peruvian volunteers participated in a charity event supporting impoverished families throughout small villages in Peru. Empire Medical Training understands the importance of providing for the less fortunate, especially during the holiday season. As a result, they sponsored and participated in a celebratory event of seasonal festivities with local Peruvians.
Empire Medical Training, Rx Medical Web and Peruvian volunteers helped organize the event from the decorations to the entertainment. The children were treated with a special surprise visit by Santa Claus and his jolly helpers. In addition to the abundance of delicious dishes and delightful gifts, the festivities also consisted of a celebration of singing and dancing.
Empire Medical Training, Rx Medical Web, and Peruvian volunteers also participated in the custom of Chocolatadas. This is a tradition of sharing cups of hot chocolate, food, and small gifts, such as sweet treats and toys, with impoverished families. During Christmas, Peruvians come together to exchange gifts and celebrate the holiday season. Families eat turkey and Pane-ton, which is a type of fruit bread.
