Follow on Google News | Special Spaces To Provide Bedroom Makeover For Bartlett Girl Suffering From Rare Bone CancerSpecial Spaces Chicagoland, a non-profit organization that creates dream bedrooms for children with life-threatening medical conditions, will be conducting a bedroom makeover for 10 year-old Bartlett resident Samiyah Quraishi on Sat. March 15 2014.
By: Special Spaces Chicagoland Community partners have played a very important role in this makeover. First Eagle Bank in Bartlett and The Team One Volleyball Club are sponsors for this room. Additionally, Rosseland Construction of Bartlett generously donated all of their time and services, spending two weeks to make over a loft bedroom into a bedroom including a new closet area. Over 23 volunteers will be working on Saturday to complete Samiyah’s new room. Naperville resident Kelly Knox founded the Special Spaces Chicagoland chapter in 2012. Since its inception, over a dozen ill children have gotten room makeovers. Knox has a full slate scheduled for 2014 and a waiting list is in place for many more deserving children.
