Steven Escobar received the following awards from City of Beverly Hills: The Diversity Award Certificate of Recognition by the City of Beverly Hills City Council, County of Los Angeles by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles and City of Los Angeles Certificate of Recognition signed by the Mayor of Los Angeles Eric Garcetti for his participation and contributions to the Multicultural Motion Picture Association (MMPA).
The event included live entertainment, a silent auction, raffles and sumptuous Hors d’oeuvres including a lavish dessert table for the honorees, guests, and celebrity crowd. The event took place at the Andaz Hotel, Top of the Strip, Panorama Room, Rooftop at 8401 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90069.

The purpose of the 20th Annual MMPA “Night before the Oscars … The Envelope Please…” is to benefit the MMPA Educational Scholarship Fund for student filmmakers. This annual charity benefits and plays host to an array of entertainment luminaries and Academy Award nominees during Oscar Week. 2014 Academy Oscar Nominees and celebrities were invited to the event.
