Far East Movement Headline The Largest Ever Water Festival Celebration in Singapore!

March 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Celebrate Songkran 2014 will be held at The Padang from 12-13 April 2014.  The outdoor festival will allow people to experience Songkran festivities outside of Thailand, right here in Singapore.  With a wide variety of activities lined up across the 2 days, the event is suitable for families, couples, children and party revelers!  Celebrate Songkran 2014 will give people the opportunity to understand more about Thai traditions, heritage as well as its entertainment culture, and it comes with a twist of international flavor!

Highlights of Celebrate Songkran 2014:

H2O Music Fest (Ticketed - admission 18+)

A 2-day music extravaganza held in the evenings. This music and entertainment showcase will be headlined by  electro-hop act Far East Movement and will also feature top DJs including the likes of DJ Visionaire, Nam Gyu Ri (popular South Korean Actress), Inquisitive, Celeste Siam, Nicole Chen as well as hugely popular performing artists from Thailand such as Film Rattapoom, 3.2.1, Four Mod, Faye Fang Kaew (FFK), Neko Jump, Knomjean and Waii, among others, and international acts including Krista K, Viva Starr and Ming Bridges.

Far East Movement

The US electro-hop group rocketed to notoriety with smash hit ‘Like A G6’ and show no signs of settling down any time soon, Latest single ‘Live My Life’ features Justin Bieber and has been described as an ‘anthemic all-night dance party’.  Don’t miss the chance to get your dance on to one of the world’s hottest bands - Far East Movement!

The Bazaar (FREE ENTRY - all ages)

Take your pick of authentic handicrafts, souvenirs, clothing, pottery, furniture, lamps, books, paintings, arts, plants and much more!  It doesn’t stop there; you can also feast on authentic Thai food & dessert. Expect to find other unique products at the Bazaar.

The Carnival (FREE ENTRY - all ages)

  Consisting of fun carnival games that people can play to win prizes or simply to have fun!  Definitely a haven for the children, and adults alike.

Muaythai Exhibition Tournament (FREE ENTRY - all ages)

Creating an outdoor arena and jointly organized with the Amateur Muaythai Association of Singapore (AMAS), local fighters will showcase their skills featuring a total of 14 male bouts and 1 female bout.

The Water

  Just like every Songkran festival celebration, expect to get wet!  So everyone should pick up a water pistol (or pails) and start splashing water on everyone, and have a good, clean, fun time.
