Northeast Delta HSA will accept appropriate referrals from Tensas Community Health Center to provide major mental health and/or substance abuse disorder services. Tensas Community Health Center will accept appropriate referrals from Northeast Delta HSA to provide primary health and dental care services to patients who do not require services for serious mental illnesses.
“This MOA ensures that Tensas Parish citizens receive in-depth behavioral health care services if they need them,” said Dr. Monteic A. Sizer, Northeast Delta HSA Executive Director. “Our behavioral health clients who may not otherwise consider primary health care services will no longer slip through the cracks.”
“We are making good on the promise to deliver greater access to quality, competent care to citizens in northeastern Louisiana. We are working to build similar relationships throughout our region,” he said. “We want to better address the needs of people with mental health and substance abuse issues, whether they are seen in a behavioral health or a primary care provider setting.”
"Clients referred to us by Northeast Delta HSA can expect excellent care,” said Jacqueline D. Schauf, Tensas Community Health Center CEO/Executive Director. “As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we serve underinsured patients on a sliding scale as well as patients with private insurance, Medicaid and Medicare. We want to improve health outcomes for all citizens of Tensas Parish. This MOA will help us offer an even greater depth of service.”
