Since her triumphant crowning in 2011, former Miss Teen New York, Lisa Drouillard, has stood the test of time as a sign of inspiration for her neighborhood and young haitian women everywhere. The 19-year old New York Native has been competing in modeling pageants since the age of 14 and has run the gauntlet through numerous competitions before being crowned in 2011.
Currently a student at John Jay College, the Criminal Justice major tours from school-to-school across the nation inspiring teens with her messages of positivity, feminism and the work ethic required to compete in a national competition.
Since winning, Drouillard has been living her dream and hardly believes everything that has happened to her.
Drouillard launched her career in modeling when her father Gene, 55, enrolled her in Barbizon School of Manhattan (http://barbizonnyc.com/about
) and has been successfully winning pageants ever since. Barbizon Modeling and Acting Schools seek new talent and train young models, actors, singers and dancers for professional careers in the industry.
