Haitian Roundtable Issues Its 2014 List of “Changemakers” and “Ones to Watch”

NEW YORK - March 13, 2014 - PRLog -- New York, NY -- The Haitian Roundtable is proud to announce its second annual list of inductees to the 1804 List of Haitian-American Changemakers in the United States. The 1804 List, named in honor of Haiti’s year of independence, recognizes 24 Haitian-Americans who have demonstrated outstanding achievement and success in their profession, proven themselves to be forces for change, and have helped to create a better understanding of Haiti and the Haitian community. In addition, the 1804 List salutes five up-and-coming Haitian-Americans as Ones To Watch in 2014.

The 1804 List of Haitian-American Changemakers for 2014 was selected for the second consecutive year in collaboration with The Haitian Times, Radio Soleil, Kompa Guide and The Stewardship Report. The 29 individuals being honored represent the Haitian community’s innovators and rising stars across a wide range of industries, professions and backgrounds. A recognition ceremony and reception is scheduled for Saturday, March 22, 2014 , from 6:00PM to 11PM at Florence Gould Hall in New York City.
