Cincy Chic Hosts “Night in White” April 11

CINCINNATI - March 13, 2014 - PRLog -- Who said it’s too early to wear white? Cincy Chic is not only making it fashionable, but also philanthropic, as it hosts its fifth annual “Night in White” event on April 11, from 7-10pm, at Obscura in downtown Cincinnati.

At this event, guest can enjoy cocktails, sweet treats, gourmet coffee, photo booth, fun fundraising activities, silent auction, and spectacular runway fashion show. All proceeds will benefit the Eight Days & One Hour Foundation’s Stephen Jason Morsch Nursing Scholarship, which was founded by Stephen Smith and his Cincinnati-based family. The family lost a newborn family member after only eight days and one hour, but with the support of their nurses, they made it through the difficult experience.

“We started the program simply to give back to those that have given so much to us during Stephen’s fight for his life. Each member of our family had an epiphany as to the work that nurses provide to society. As we learned more about the education that nurses receive, we felt it was important to us to help those who have chosen this calling,” Says Smith. “For our family, this event reminds us of our grandson and the purpose of his life. It’s a way where we reconnect with old friends and often make new ones. Moreover, it’s a reminder of the tremendous work that nurses do each day.”

This year’s event will take place at Obscura, 645 Walnut Street Cincinnati. Attire for the evening is “white cocktail chic” with statement jewelry and more than 250 will be in attendance for the event. Tickets are $20 for General Admission and $35 for Premium Admission.
