Bedales students selected for county hockey squads

PETERSFIELD, U.K. - March 13, 2014 - PRLog -- Bedales students Becky Grubb and sisters Amy and Pippa Lock are delighted to have secured places on squads at county level following a series of trials. Block 5 (Year 11) student Becky will be playing for the Hampshire U17 squad. Amy, also in Block 5, will be playing for the Sussex U16 squad and her sister Pippa in Block 3 (Year 9) will be playing for the Sussex U13.

Bedales hockey teacher and coach, Kevin Boniface said, “The girls have really worked hard this academic year in training and their commitment has been rewarded with places on County squads. We look forward to watching their progress and supporting their development. Last year, as part of the school’s gifted and talented programme, we had the pleasure of welcoming Team GB and bronze medal winning hockey players and team-mates Alex Danson and Beth Storry to the school. The students really appreciate the opportunity to learn from professionals to complement their training.”
