Pillar Hotels & Resorts Appoints General Manager to Oversee Hiltons of Branson

BRANSON, Mo. - March 12, 2014 - PRLog -- Pillar Hotels & Resorts, one of the largest independent, third party management companies in the United States has selected Bill Tirone, CMP, CEM as General Manager of the Hilton Convention Center Hotel and Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing in Branson, Missouri. Pillar will begin managing these hotels on April 1, 2014.

Pete Korsos, Regional Senior VP of Operations with Pillar Hotels & Resorts said, “We are excited to have Bill on board. His 35-plus years in the hospitality industry and broad experience in operations, sales, marketing and revenue management will be invaluable to Pillar as we enter the full-service market in Branson.”

Bill is transitioning to Pillar from his current position as Director of Sales & Marketing at Doubletree by Hilton Cedar Rapids Convention Complex in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. At the Doubletree, Bill’s responsibilities included pre- and post-opening sales activities for the 267-room hotel, arena and convention center in downtown Cedar Rapids; managing a team of sales professionals; and creating community recognition during the rebranding and grand opening of the hotel.

Previously, Bill was Assistant General Manager and Director of Sales & Marketing at Hiltons of Branson and the Branson Convention Center for 7 years. Bill has also held positions with St. Louis Marriott Downtown Cluster, St. Louis Marriott Pavilion Hotel, Embassy Suites Hotel St. Louis, America’s Center and Hyatt Hotels Corporation. Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration and a minor in Marketing from the University of New Hampshire.
