PRLog - March 12, 2014 - NEW YORK -- Former Entertainment One Senior Vice President James Robinson has filed an employment discrimination lawsuit against the company and its President, Michael Olsen. The Complaint, 14-CV-01203 filed in the Southern District of New York, alleges that the company retaliated against Mr. Robinson for logging a complaint against Mr. Olsen with Human Resources in violation of Title VII of the Federal Civil Rights Law.
It is also alleged in the Complaint that Mr. Olsen indicated that African Americans were bad with finances and that Mr. Olsen allegedly referred to former Entertainment One songbird, Jessica Reedy and her manager as “Bitches”.
In the summer of 2013, the Rev. Al Sharpton attempted to contact Mr. Olsen and Entertainment One about the dispute, however, no response was forthcoming from the defendants according to the Complaint.
Robinson’s legal counsel, Attorney Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC, was contacted about the lawsuit and gave a response of “no comment”. Damages of $300,000.00 are demanded for back-pay along with an unspecified amount in punitive damages.
