March 12, 2014 - PRLog -- Tammi Searle, owner of Wag Wagon Pet Services in Kittery Point, Maine is excited to be supporting the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America through the New England MG Walk!

What is Myasthenia Gravis (http://www.myasthenia.org/WhatisMG.aspx) (MG)?
MG affects people of any age, race or gender. The most common form of MG is a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disorder that is characterized by fluctuating weakness of the voluntary muscle groups, and can affect muscles that control eye movements, eyelids, chewing, swallowing, coughing and facial expression as well as the arms and legs. MG also can affect breathing. The prevalence of MG in the US is estimated to be about 1 in 5,000 people.

Searle states "I am walking in honor of my favorite uncle who was my best friend growing up. This disease has deeply affected my family so three generations of cousins are stepping out on May 3rd to help raise awareness and funds to help find a cure for myasthenia gravis and closely related disorders, improving treatment options, and providing information and support to people with myasthenia gravis!"
