The first supportive care questionnaire application for patients receiving chemotherapy available in 5 languages

March 12, 2014 - PRLog -- Lugano, Switzerland, March 05th 2014. The MASCC Antiemesis Tool (MAT) is the first application for cancer patients receiving chemotherapy that assists healthcare professionals in evaluating if, and how much the anti-cancer treatment is causing nausea and vomiting.
The concept of the MAT is to provide an easy to use tool, that will assist in providing the best individual care for patients. After completing the MAT from a smartphone or a tablet, patients may send their responses to their physicians or nurses in real time. Health care professionals can promptly follow up, and manage symptoms if necessary.
MAT is free and it is available in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish. The printable version of the questionnaire is available on the MASCC website (www.mascc.org) in English as well as in 11 languages.
The MAT Tool is supported by an unrestricted grant form Helsinn Healthcare S.A..
