LOS ANGELES - March 12, 2014 - PRLog -- We are interested in Celebrities, Actors/Actress, Professional Athletes, Comedians, Radio Personalities, and Local Politicians to play, attend, and or participate in the Department of Children and Family Services Third Annual
“One Child At A Time” Celebrity Basketball and WNBA Los Angeles Sparks Game on (Sunday) June 22, 2014 12:30 pm at the Staples Center located at 1111 S. Figueroa St. Los Angeles, CA. 90015.

The 3rd Annual “One Child At A Time Celebrity Basketball Game” fundraising event gave foster children the chance to meet professional athletes, actors, comedians, radio personalities and local politicians.  The game was immediately after the Los Angeles Sparks game, where celebrities showcased their basketball prowess on the Sparks floor.  The “AND 1 All-Stars” played against the OCAAT celebrity players, and, for inquiring minds, the celebrities did in fact beat the AND 1 team by one point!

This was a wonderful day to give back to the community along with the hundreds of foster youth, community leaders, and celebrities who attended this charity event.  Special half time appearances included a dance crew from the hit TV Show “America’s Best Dance Crew.” Opening performances included Christine Devine’s team “Wednesday’s Child” (featuring Nexus, Lotis, Sean McNabb, and thecast of the television series Sons of Anarchy) and the Ole Skool Crew.

Proceeds from the event will help provide services for more than 36,000 foster children in the Department of Children and Family Services Children’s Trust Fund to provide scholarships to college-bound foster youth, and activites not funded by government sources.  All of your support means so much to these children, who will be touched by your well-wishes and generosity.

Donations are tax deductible, and with your permission, your organization’s name and logo will be included in the event’s press releases, website, and printed materials.  Unlike many other non-profit organizations, 100% of funds received by the Trust Fund are used to aid children and families in the foster system. For over 45 years, our Trust Fund has provided a wide range of services and self-development opportunities for the youth served by DCFS in Los Angeles County.
