Salem Community College IFC master’s class features Marshall Hyde

Nationally renowned glass artist Marshall Hyde with lead a master’s class, “Designing and Thinking in Glass: Beyond Technique,” March 31-April 1, at Salem Community College in Carneys Point, N.J.

PRLog - Mar. 11, 2014 - CARNEYS POINT, N.J. -- International Flameworking Conference

Intermediate-level flameworking experience is recommended.  The two-day course, which follows the International Flameworking Conference, is limited to 15 participants.  Cost is $750, which includes materials and lunches.  The class meets both days from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with open torch time from 6 to 8 p.m. in SCC’s Glass Education Center.

Marshall Hyde is a mixed-media artist working primarily in glass since 1990.  He earned an MFA in glass and sculpture from Southern Illinois University.  Hyde works in a variety of glass processes, including glassblowing, casting, engraving, kilnforming and flameworking.
